New DataOrganizer brings major improvements in functionality and user experience. The main toolbar has new buttons to speed up database creation, opening and exiting.
New dialog organizes your recent databases into a list. You will find switching between databases faster and more convenient. Database templates for most common purposes are now ready to use. With just one click you will turn the application into a personal information manager, diary or other database.
You can now add file attachments to your forms either by the context menu or by dragging files into a form. Files are encrypted and compressed. Saving files from the form back to your computer is straight forward; just drag them to the target location.
New picture control allows you adding pictures to your forms. Simply drop a picture to the control and Data Organizer will handle the rest. |  | 2009-07-01 12:00:00 This release comes with new features and fixes that are result of addressing issues raised by our users. We wanted to improve in areas pointed out as weak ones.
What has been improved? We have sped up database load and save times. The size of database has been reduced significantly. Opening, closing or switching to another database is now more user friendly.
Sorting and filtering engine has been redesigned to make both operations faster and comfortable. The improvements are visible especially when "Automatic search" option is on and Data Organizer filters/sorts data after each key stroke in the search panel.
Data Organizer 3.0 supports print and print preview. User can print a list of items (based on current search/filter settings) or individual forms.
Another new feature in this release is data export to CSV format. This allows transfer data from Data Organizer to spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc.
Some GUI changes have been introduced as well. The most visible are new icons in the category tree (with ability to change them through the Category properties dialog). In the design view new cursors have been added to indicate a tool that is currently selected.
Date and time values can now be presented and validated using current system date\time format. The same refers to the decimal point character.
Summarizing we think that this new release brings new quality and better user experience. |  | 2008-10-01 07:00:00 The new version of Data Organizer provides better integration with web browsers and e-mail clients. You can launch multiple web links at once from the list of user items and from the category tree.
The category tree has been improved. The most important commands are available from a context menu. Each category node remembers its expansion state. Position of each category can be changed (use Ctrl and Up or Down arrow key).
The user form has a title bar that shows name of the form being edited as well as creation and last modification dates.
This version solves a number of issues related mostly to data refreshing and data presentation. |  | 2008-06-01 07:00:00 New Data Organizer introduces customizable list and date/time fields, supports auto-initialization of fields and categories in new forms.
You can change colors of lists, forms and the category tree, customize fonts for each database.
Data Organizer 2.0 fixes a number of issues found in the previous version as well. |  |
